Children's Ministry Director

Brandy Wood

Brandy has been a life long resident of Winchendon. She has been married for many years and has two grown, beautiful children.

She has been a member of the United Parish for over 20 years and is very active in the church. She is a member of the choir and a participant in youth group.

She is our Christian Education Director for Sunday School Ministries. Her, along with many other volunteers, teach Sunday School during our Sunday service at 10am. She teaches children ranging from Kindergarteners to Middle Schoolers. We seperate the young, k-5th, to our Fellowship Hall downstairs; and young adults, 6-12th, to our upper rooom class which is taught by our fellow congregation member Robert Duval, who teachs lhis lessons using the Bible.

Her cirriculum is Bible based with a short video followed by crafts and games. The curriculum teaches the children about both the old and new testament and put it into their prospective to give them more of an understanding; in hope that they use the tools we give them from the Bible to use in every day life.

She enjoys teaching children and hopes you come and enjoy Sunday School at 10am!

  • Missions

At the United Parish, our focus has been to reach out to minister and meet the needs of those around us.  Even though we are under a "stay at home advisory" in Massachusetts, our ministry to others has not stopped.  Our ministry to others has changed with the needs that have arisen.

The ladies of the United Parish have been summoned to sew over a 100 cotton surgical hats for Heywood Hospital's Intensive Care Unit and Emergency room.  Within 48 hours of the call, sixty-two hats were delivered on Monday, April 6th.  Another 40 hats will be dropped off on Wednesday.   Sewers have fervently prayed as they sewed each hat.   Many thanks to all the ladies that have volunteered to meet this need.  We couldn't have done this project without you!  Our ladies are the best!

If you are an experienced sewer and want to help as needs arise, please call the church office and leave your name and contact information...
