Pastor
Reverend Jason Cox, NRP
Pastor Jason has been teaching the gospel for over 10 years and is a Chaplain, Paramedic Firefighter, EMS Coordinator and a US Navy Veteran. Born and raised in Texas then moved to the Mass. area in his adolescence, he gave his heart to Lord at a young age. Since that time, he has been following God's direction and His Word. Pastor Jason has his Bachelors in Business & Fire Administration, an Associates in Para-medicine and Theology (current student and is always learning). He and his wife Emily have 6 children and 2 grandchildren together. This is his first year ministering at the United Parish and we hope you have an opportunity to join us Sundays at 10am to listen to him preach.
Cheri is the daughter of Craig & Cathy Comer and has lived in Winchendon all of her life. She married her best friend, Robert Duval, and lives with him in Winchendon.
She went to Murdock High School and received her Diploma, and went on to College at Mount Wachusett Community College for Early Childhood Education and received her Associates Degree. She loves to teach children and did some substituting here at the schools in Winchendon. However her plans of professionally teaching in public schools was not the will of the Lord and has been led to work here at the church.
Before she came to work here in the office, she worked in retail, in management for 12 years. She loved working with the team that became her life long friends there. From this experience of working in management she has obtained skills for her current job here at the church as Office Administrator. Working here for the church and for the Lord is such a wonderful, fulfilling experience that brings her great joy.
Our doors are always open for those in need. Any prayer requests can be made on this webpage as well as any rental requests can be made here on the page thru email. If you click the Ministries icon there are Baptism/Dedication forms that you can download as well. Also in the links icon you will find that we have a Facebook page that you can like and observe as well.
She hopes that you welcome her with open arms, knowing that she will do her best to meet your needs. She hopes that she will represent the United Parish in a positive way and asks that you come join us in service on Sundays at 10am.
Please feel free to email her or call the office here at the United Parish with any needs, questions or concerns you have!
Jennie is our Director of Children’s Ministries and is basically everywhere all the time (we're still not entirely sure how she manages this!)—part teacher, part event planner, part snack distributor, and full-time expert in glitter containment. She creates fun, faith-filled lessons that are engaging and helps kids learn about God and grow in their faith. From Sunday school to VBS, she organizes lessons, wrangles volunteers, and somehow manages to keep track of 20 juice boxes and 15 Bible crafts.
Jennie and her volunteers are planting seeds of faith—while probably stepping on a Lego.
Jennie has been a member of the United Parish for many years having growing up in the church. She lives in town, with her husband Adam, retired form the military, and 3 children Alex, Rachel and Sophia, who graduated from or are attending school in town. She comes from a large family of 11 siblings and enjoys being active and caring for others while teaching the word of God.
Come join us for Sunday School at 10am in our fellowship hall. We have a pre-school area and 2 classrooms for Elementary school aged kids. Middle and High school aged kids are welcome to sit anywhere in the main sanctuary during service-but most choose to sit in the upper balcony as a group.
Youth Group meets every Sunday night from 5:30-8:30pm and is for grades 5 thru 12 with the occasional college/older past youth group member visiting. Grades 5-7 starts with their lesson, then all grades have a game or activity and a snack and beverage. Next is grades 8-12 lesson plan in which the leader teaches the group the lesson of their choosing from the bible, followed by praise and worship music. Then they pray for one another before leaving for the night.
Come visit us on Sunday's at 10am and our Youth Group program Sunday's at 5:30pm and learn about our Lord and Savior in such a fun way!
Wendy has been teaching elementary music for 20 years. She has a B. S. in music education from Eastern Nazarene College, and a M.M. in music education from Boston University. She lives with her husband of 15 years, Jerry and two sons. Caleb who is 10, and Lucas who is 7.
She is committed to make worship a meaningful experience for all.
Maddie is Wendy's right hand girl! She is the behind the scenes ninja that helps wrangle the worship team, makes sure the mics are working, and that everyone is singing the same song at the same time!
In addition to lighting up the room with her smile, Maddie sings on the Praise and Worship team, is part of the choir, and is a recent graduate graduate of Murdock High.
You can sing along with Maddie and the rest of our music teams every Sunday at the United Parish starting at 10 am!
Cheyenne and her husband work very hard throughout the year to maintain our property both inside and outside the church with lawn upkeep, cleaning with maintenance work and so much more. They keep the church looking wonderful for the community!
Cheyenne has recently taken on our social media. Which is kind of like being the digital shepherd—minus the staff, but with way more memes. Cheyenne keeps the online flock informed by posting events, sharing our favorite moments, and daily Bible verses. She helps us turn scroll time into soul time, and helps our followers stay encouraged and engaged.
