Cheri is the daughter of Craig & Cathy Comer and has lived in Winchendon all of her life. She married her best friend, Robert Duval, and lives with him in Winchendon.
She went to Murdock High School and received her Diploma, and went on to College at Mount Wachusett Community College for Early Childhood Education and received her Associates Degree. She loves to teach children and did some substituting here at the schools in Winchendon. She loves to teach the children downstairs here at the church for Sunday School Service as often as possible. However her plans of professionally teaching in public schools was not the will of the Lord and has been led to work here at the church.
Before she came to work here in the office, she worked in retail, in management for 12 years. She loved working with the team that became her life long friends there. From this experience of working in management she has obtained skills for her current job here at the church as Office Administrator. Working here for the church and for the Lord is such a wonderful, fulfilling experience that brings her great joy.

Music Ministries Director
Marcia Desilets
Marcia Kidder Desilets is a resident of Sterling, MA. She currently teaches violin, viola, and piano to students in the surrounding communities. Marcia received her Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from New England Conservatory in 1981. She has studied violin with Robert Koff and Virginia Neikrug, as well as becoming certified in several levels of the Suzuki pedagogy. She has played in a number of area orchestral groups such as the Thayer Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Pro Musical, and the Lancaster Chamber Ensemble. Marcia has also been an organist and choir director in several area churches. She has three adult children, Danielle, Brent and Alex, who all play various instruments and sing.
I believe that music is an essential element of worship. It is not just a profession for me, but a way of life. From my studies at New England Conservatory to my many years playing in orchestras and ensembles, to teaching music to many students and sharing my music skills in churches, I have had the good fortune of being blessed but also blessing many others. I have especially enjoyed encouraging young people to discover their innate musical talents and share them with their church family. Even my studio students are encouraged to share the music that they learn in lesson with their individual churches.
My joy is being able to bring a spiritual quality to the service that would not be there otherwise. My belief in God and my love of music inspire me as I serve, and it is an honor to be apart of the United Parish Church and welcome you to join us for Sunday services at 10am and lets worship the Lord together in singing!
Director of Youth Ministries
Jennie LeBlanc
Jennie has been a member of the United Parish for many years having growing up in the church. She lives in town, with her husband Adam, who just retired form the military and 3 children Alex, Rachel and Sophia, who are attending school in town. She comes from a large family of 11 siblings and enjoys being active and caring for others while teaching the word of God. She has been actively going to school to obtain her youth ministry degree.
Here at the United Parish she is the Chair Director for our Sunday School Programs and is the Director of our Youth Group Program. She loves being creative while coming up with new ideas to engage kids at Sunday School and youth group.
Come join us for Sunday School at 10am in our fellowship hall. We have a pre-school area for the little children. We have 3 classrooms for Elementary school aged kids, Middle school aged kids, and the Upper-room for grades 8-12. The online program called Lifeway.com provide us with lesson plans from the Bible with activities and videos to learn from in a fun way. In the Upper-room class they continue to read and research thru the Bible and apply it to everyday life.
Youth Group is for grades 5 thru 12 with the occasional college/older past youth group member visiting. Youth Group meets every Sunday night from 5:30-8:30pm. Please see our home page to view our safety guidelines to attend our Youth Programs. Grades 5-7 starts with their lesson, then all grades have a game or activity and a snack and beverage (following all the safe protocols). Next is grades 8-12 lesson plan in which the leader teaches the group the lesson of their choosing from the bible, followed by praise and worship music. Then they pray for one another before leaving for the night.
Jennie is such a wonderful asset to our church. She makes learning about God so much fun and is a bit of a jokester as well, you will think the same.
Come visit us on Sunday's at 10am and our Youth Group program at 5:30pm and learn about our Lord and Savior in such a fun way!
